Who We Are and Where We Come From
God's Grace Community Church was founded January 3, 1993 with seven members, six of whom were family. Services were held at the Quality Inn Hotel, 3525 N. Shadeland Avenue. Services were eventually moved to Pastors' home den with weekly Bible studies. From there they moved to Hawthorne Apartments Clubhouse. God's Grace grew to 150-200 members from various walks of life. In May 1996, we were blessed to move to the former Burger King restaurant on Fort Benjamin Harrison.
While holding services on Fort Harrison. God's Grace began their daycare ministry. Precious Moments Daycare, in November 1996. For the past 18 + years, it too has nurtured many children and families in the community. After reconstruction began on Fort Harrison, God's Grace moved to the Family Christian Worship Center to continue services. In the summer of 2002, we began holding services at Otterbein United Methodist Church.
In April 2005, God's Grace was blessed to move into the old library on 3642 N. Emerson Ave and purchase the adjourning property North and South of the property expanding our parking and outreach offices. Over the past 20 + years, God has been the source of all successes in fulfilling His purpose through Kingdom excellence.
Through faithfulness, unity and tithing, the vision is still coming to pass with many souls being saved and transformed through this ministry. God has blessed us and brough us to this hour and we shall continue to pursue His vision and purpose for this ministry. Pastor Steven and Co-Pastor JoAnn Thompson continue to labor working in the Kingdom. Their goal is to reach across all barriers, denominational ties, ages, cultures, etc. and minister to souls the message of our Savior, Jesus Christ
